Sparked by recent comments about the enormous effort that goes into achieving an ‘effortlessly cool' and 'casual chic’ look, we got down to discussing the ‘effortless effect’ and how to make it as easy as it looks.

‘Effortless chic’ affects women differently, it may leave you feeling flat or inspired, but one thing is for sure, the perfected pics we see every day on social media and the like, take a lot of time, patience and effort to get ‘right’.

So, after a lengthy (and at times heated) studio debate, we’ve come to the conclusion that exuding effortless elegance is all down to being comfortable and confident in your own skin. Enjoying the balance of being your best self, whilst always being true to yourself.

Inspired by some of the most stylish women, here are our tips on making elegant dressing effortless:

Victoria Beckham, Cate Blanchett, Marion Cotillard
1. EMPHASIS YOUR WAIST
Make like Victoria, Cate and Marion by making the most of your waistline. Try a tie at the waist, belted or a high-rise fit to maximise femininity.Addictive Daughter wear Maimie silk suits, tailored in stretch silk, to balance comfort with glamour. Persia wears  Roxy Midnight  & Roxy Estella Midnight and Joey wears Roxy Max {coming soon} stretch silk suits
2. WEAR DELICIOUS FABRICS

Silks, cottons or luxurious crepes with a good drape can’t help but make you feel elegant. Go for fabrics that feel luxurious against your skin for slip on femininity. Olivia Palermo, Emma Watson, Kate Beckinsale

3. MIX UP MASCULINE WITH FEMININE

Masculine shapes become timelessly elegant if you give them a lil' feminine twist. Accentuate the waist, pair with pastels or add killer heels and you’ve got effortless elegance sorted.
